And it makes me glad to say, it's been a lovely day...

Today was a bit boring, I am still waiting for that call from the tuxedo store so I can go in for that 4th interview with the regional manager. I guess that is a good song, but the weight is tedious. I woke up just ten minutes before the syndicated series finally of Star Trek Deep Space Nine came on, so I through on some clothes and went out to watch it with my mom. After that a Star Trek The Next Generation episode came on that I hadn't seen came on so I watched that as well. I then killed some time in my room playing bass, I am getting better, for the longest time I couldn't play shit, but now "I've got sooouuul!" again. I was really ripping it up better than before I lost my groove.

I keep finding myself going back further to find what I need musically. In middle school I listened to 60's pop music and grunge, then in high school I started listening to 90's punk and classical music, then 80's and 70's punk, then Ska, and now that I am in college, I find myself listening to 60's garage bands, surf rock, soul, rhythm and blues, early jazz and even new wave music. Contemporary pop music sucks, it seems to me the musicians are lasting shorter, and the music no longer belongs to the people, but perhaps that statement is void since I have never lived in any earlier times. I am keeping my ear out for something new, something that will really fuck with middle America again. "A riot is an ugly thing... and I think it's about time we had one!"

But back to today and not yesteryear, Scott called at about 4, so I took my shower, and he came over, I drove my mom to Rick's and Scott and I battled rush hour to get to Church's Chicken, when I laid my eyes upon the "combo deal" they gave him, I said "fuck that, I'm going to Quizno's Subs next door". At least there I get free refills on my drink, and the food is much better". We then went into some bargain store and laughed at the dumb merchandise, including a plastic skateboard that buckled and became deformed under my weight. We bought some poker chips since all I had at my place was a collection of pennies. We then went to his dad's place to get yelled at, "Dad can I have that tuition money"-Scott, "Goddamnit It's already paid!"-Paul, "Dad can I have some air?" -Scott, "NO!"-Paul, "*Deep Breath* Ahhhh..."-Scott. Took me back to my dear old dad, that fucker owes me 8-9 years of child support, but the biggest revenge is to become wealthy, and I'll be a better man then he ever was. So Scott and I head back to my house, play some poker, watch the end of the Blues Brothers *best movie ever!*, well he got a call to hang out with some other people who I don't care too much for, and so he left to go drink and gamble real money. So here I am, looking for some obscure 80's band mp3's to no avail. So good night, and remember... never try to end a post in a meaningful way unless you have something meaningful to say.

1 month and I am back in Omaha, 1 month and Allie leaves, 1 month and school begins again.
